Exclamation help me guys im starting to get frustrated

okay, i posted a while back about my block being messed up. i have a 93 coupe with a d16y8 block and a 2000 EX sohc vtec head. damn kids these days putting cars together with anything they got. found out i spun a bearing off my crankshaft. soooooooo what i need to do, is get to my block. so i took some time and stared at my car, and i took everything off down to the block. i ran into a problem using a cherry picker. i shouldve realized before i was doing this that the car is Trans-Axle, so i cant just pull the block and transmission out i have to take the axle with it? so obviously i have to drop everything out of the bottom of the car. ive never worked on a civic before, only 90's models toyota trucks. someone help me out give me some options. i broke two studds off my head, so i dont think ill be putting that back on there. i reckon im gonna have to get another engine for this car so im trying to spend less than 700 dollars on a decent engine. looking to invest in either another d16y block with the correct head, or a b16a or b18a1. idk yet, idk whats going to be easiest so someone everyone i dont care just shoot me some pointers this car has been in peices since september and id love to see my car back on the road i have nothing else to drive. if i need to put some pictures up or something let me know. ill be on here alllll day if i have to just to figure this crap out!

Well, the y8 block came from a 96-00 EX, so you may have the "correct" head for your block.

Pulling the motor requires pulling the axles from the transmission.

I have found it easier to lift the vehicle up, and then pull the motor out from the bottom.

Remove engine and transmission as a unit. Block up the car and take both front wheels off. Undo the lower ball joints. Now pry the axles out of the transmission with a large flat screwdriver. They "pop" in and out. Once "popped" loose, swing the wheels out (this is why you undid the ball joints) and pull the axle all the way out of the transmission, they will then drop down out of the way. Undo the shift linkage. If you can't get the roll pin out, grind off the rivet on the u-joint thing (replace it with a bolt upon re-assembly.) Remove the alternator. It doesn't look like you would have to remove the alternator, but you do. If equipped, unbolt the A/C compressor and power steering pump from the engine but leave their lines attached. Disconnect the fuel, exhaust, wiring, etc. Now you are ready to take off the motor mounts and hoist the engine/transmission out. Rotate it clockwise on the way up. This is why the alternator had to come off.

Had intention to post, but i might as well of copied ^
i usually detour the shift linkage an just pull out the 2 bolts in the bushing onto the floor, take my shift **** off an pull it down through, an just leave it on the trans.

Where did the headstud break? flush with the head surface or enough sticking up to weld a pair of vice-grips onto it, heat the stud up , put a pipe on your vice-grips an turn er off

maybe i misread headstud with studs in the head, but a good combiniton of inginuity and time can usually get any broken off bolt out.
