help with lights....
can someone please look on their civic 99-00 i guess - - and tell me which wires go where on the actual headlight bulb. there are 3 (black, red, green) and i need to know where they go. im sure that black will be the same on both so can you atleast check that? there are 3 prongs on the bulb like this __
__ __ my wires are all mixed up and i cant figure it out...
when one is on low, the other is on high, when it says they are on bright, really they are on dim. i cant figure them out and im getting aggrivated. i blew a bulb on low beam too so now i gotta get new ones. i want them hooked up right. i know the wires are in a connector and thats fine, just please look and tell me where they go on the bulb.

RE: help with lights....
You should have a H4 connection, so it would go(from left to right) Highbeam, lowbeam ground, the highbeam will be vertical, the low horizontal and the ground vertical again, Just play arround with it till it is right, but that is how the factory harness connection is

RE: help with lights....
okay I just checked mine cause i couldn't remember.
When looking at the bulb:
low
ground high
When looking at the plug:
low
high ground
Check both fuse boxes for blown fuses (it's probably fuses, had mine blow just a bit ago), also it might be your plug grounds... simple way to test is to slide a strip of bare wire into the plug where the ground is and manually ground to the chassis...

RE: help with lights....
well do you think it will be ok to drive like this one or 2 nights? i really dont have time to really spend time and FIX it tomorrow and i wanna drive tomorrow night. i dont have a manual to know which fuse is which so that sucks too. i checked the one under the hood and it isnt that. its gotta be one on the inside. seems like i blew a high beam one before but i dont remember which one it was.BUT, WHY is it saying they are on bright when they are really on dim? i understang the wiring could be wrong BUT, if it says they are on bright, the fog lights shouldnt work and they DO!!!!

RE: help with lights....
If positive is going thru the highbeam positive pin and the ground is connected to the low beam positive pin it will send power backwards to the relay and give power to the fogs, thus it has dimm highs and fogs and then nothing when in low beam.....
Safe? no...... On the bottom row of your fuse box fuse #4 and 5 (should be kinda by themselves and both red) are your high beam fuses, and on the middle row on the far right side (last two fuses) #21 and 22 are your low beam fuses. Both should be Red 10amp fuse.
