I have the auto trans with the torque converter lock-up. At about 60mph, I can feel the lock up kick in like an overdrive. The rpm's drop and it's fine, however when I set my cruise control or hold that speed manually, the lock up kicks in and out multiple times and is becoming bothersome. I read here that a misadjusted cable (too tight or too loose) will cause the throttle sensor to read the wrong butterfly position. I did an adjustment on it yesterday( it was too tight) left a 1/2 inch play like the repair manual says. Going to try it today on the hiway. Thanks for your help. If you have any other insight, please let me know. Also, is there a way to disable or put a switch on it so I can engage it maunally over 65mph?
