ok, im goin down the road, and i go to use my turn signals.. and they stop working. my fuel guage, and temp guauge also bottom out. bring it home, find out its fuse #1 (89 hatchback) which is 10A and controlls "Turn Signal, Back-Up Lights" replace the fuse, everything works fine, BUT, now the hazards dont work. (shortly after, the fuse blew again, and i replaced it - again - and no problems as of yet) first, what could be causing the fuse to blow (its supposed to be a 10A fuse, and I put 10A fuses in there) and why arnt the hazards working nemore? i know it could just be the hazard switch, but its a little funny that it went out after the fuse blew.

 

well i would start off with the switch, if the switch doesnt work, the turn signals dont work.. if you have a blown fuse, and repeatedly blow them, you have a short somewhere

 

no.. the turn signals and everything work ok.. just the hazards dont.

 

did u replace ur stock bulbs with bulbs that are too powerful? If not then sounds like a short

 

Did you mess with the hazards switch anytime? Like popping it out to get the dash off or anything? I've had trouble with wires falling off from that switch...
