yea im not going to go over 8 if i go h22. plus it will be a little while before i can even get the swap. i just want something that is gonna blow the doors in on anything around here. theres a couple guys with bseries turbos that talk a lot of **** and it bothers me. theyre my buddies and im glad for em but i dont wanna be the one that cant keep up. my one buddy just got his dynoed and tuned and hes pushin 264 hp and like229 tq to the wheels on a b18b1 with 10 lbs. of boost. h22 is def. the way im gonna go. i thought that it would just be hard to swap in. and thanks for the street import site. that is awesome, its really affordable too. anymore info on the swap?

yes.

everybody says swapping in an H22a is harder than other engines because of its size. that's just another myth.

you're going to need a cherry picker to drop in any engine, whether it be a d-series or an H22. people start thinking "Oh, it's 2.2 liters versus 1.5 liters so it must be HUGE!"

that's laughable logic.

if swapping in an h22a is so difficult then how come there's tons of civics running around with them? and why does HASport make aftermarket direct swap H22a mounts for EGs and EKs?

good point. i heard ill have to get stiffewr springs too. what if i have dropzone coilovers? could they be ajdusted for it? on that website it says complete swap so im guessing comes with the complete wiring harness?

when companies say "complete swap," they usually mean the entire "front clip" of the car the engine swap is taken from.

that means it includes the engine (like duh), dizzy, axles, wiring harness (you get the point)....

just make sure the wiring harness that comes with the swap is UNCUT and not pieced together from several different harnesses. that's just a headache waiting to happen.

tell them you want the original uncut harness that came off the car the engine was donated from.

as for the dropzones, i'm not the biggest fan of those, but i'm not the biggest fan of a lot of things. lol.

you'll have to ask somebody who has more knowledge about them.

thanks for the info on what come with the swap. yea as for the dropzones im not a real fan of them myself but they came on the car so im not complaining. they make a lot of noise. but they ride ok. talking all this h22 makes me excited. but it sucks because i have college and not a lot of money. but i also have a job and very nice parents. they cover college ill cover everything else. im just gonna start saving like 200 bucks a paycheck and i should have the money midway thru summer. im getting sick of this sohc stuff. i dont feel like building one and stock is just not gonna cut it for me. as for swapping harness's wuld that inter fere with my lights in my guage or other electronics?
