In addition to checking the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder, you might do the same for the transmission. In fact, based on your shifting problems, you might want to drain the old transmission fluid and replace it with new.

 

Does that cost alot of money? I dont have alot of money right now.

 

Replacing the transmission fluid with the recommended Honda product might be pricey; however, it's free just to check whether the transmission fluid level is low.

 

I had problems with grinding when i shifted above 3k from 2nd to 3rd, apparently this is a common problem. Though all i needed to do was drain transmission oil, and fill it back up again, i think it was about 4 litres of oil, so thats how much it should cost you, the price of the oil

 

I had the same problem from 1st to 2end, it was really really bad in the winter as the fluid with be really cold. What I did was buy a transmission fluid called GM synchromesh from the GMC dealership. I put it in over 2 years ago, and let me tell you, since then, not one grind, it makes a world of a difference, this stuff took care of my grinding problem 100% and I'll alwaysuse it for now on. If you search Google for "GM synchromesh" you will find pages and pages of threads on this stuff being used in every type of car...and its funny, when I went to get this stuff from GM, he actually guessed that I was using it in a Honda (I wasn't driving my car ether).

 

Alright thanks for the info. Im more worried about the engine now. Evertime I start it up after it sits for the night it turns on then turns off. Then I turn it on again and its fine. I hope nothings wrong with it. It doesnt do it if Im driving places and have to turn it on again. Only after it been sitting atleast a night.

 

If it has been sitting in the yard for two years then all fluids should be change.
