Default Getting shocked...

Hey, why is it that 75% of the times i get out of my car, i reach for the automatic lock button, and it shocks me? Is there a bad ground or something? Anyone else had this happen? I drive a 99 EX Coupe, 100% stock

i never got it in my legends or the tl. i guess it's due to the cloth seats in the civic as apposed to the leather in the legend or tl.

I always got shocked about 85% when i get about of my car and touch the door to close it. But no problem with the auto lock though. I guess it maybe by my clothes rubbing against the cloth seat.

Let me enlighten you guys about a wonderful thing called a antistatic strip. It is attached to your car in the back and is dragged on the road. This thing acts as a ground wire between your car and the ground. These are required in the ex-USSR and many european countries(UK I don't know about) as a SAFETY measure as the spark you have between your car and your body could be just the thing you didn't want in a gas station...
