Gauge swap: fuel and temp gauge stopped working
I swapped a gauge cluster with a tach from a 92 ex into my 92 cx and the tach and spedo are working fine, but the fuel and temp gauge show a full tank of gas and that im severely overheated
Any ideas on how to fix this?????

If you unplug the 1-wire temperature sending unit under the distributor, does the cluster temp gauge needle drop to the cold mark? If so, there's likely a short in the temp and fuel gauge circuits caused during your installation of the new cluster. Check for damaged pins in the rear cluster connectors.

well i checked out the plugs in the rear of the cluster and theres no bare wiring, missing pins, or anything obviously wrong. Im not sure which plug is the temp sending unit you're talking about though. Im not so worried about the temp gauge as i am the fuel.

Both are important gauges that must be working. You must know whether the engine is overheating, otherwise your engine could be toast.
