Default Gauge cluster help!?

I just recently bought a 99 Honda Civic SI. Everything looks nice and all. The cluster has a reverse glow gauge or whatever it is called illuminates blue. After a couple of days drivin around, the blue glow seems to keep unlit. So basically what looks like the stock yellow light behind the gauge would only show up, making the gauge looking all factory-ish. Sometimes in the morning when I wake up, I tested it out and the blue glow comes up. But later in the day or so (especially at night) the glow doesn't come on. Does anyone know what is going on? HELP ME OUT?!

How do I check for the power and ground wires to be tight? Like behind the cluster or something? The dimmer switch controls theorange factory-ish backlight but nothing to do with the blue glow. Strangely the blue glow only comes on sometimes....

well EVERY aftermarket overlay uses a dimmer control OF ITS OWN........ some are just a small black dial... some are alittle larger and has a GREEN/BLUE switch to change the color on the overlay......
find that dimmer control ****... then track the wires to a little black box... about 1inch thick by 2x2inches....
then track the RED and BLACK wires to the power sourse... which is where ever they wired it to.... fuse box.... headlight wires... cig lighter... could be anywhere just have to track it down and just be sure the wires are tight... if not then twist em up beter and wrap electrical tape around the bare wires...
