Default front vs rear

I just bought a 2000 cx hatchback. It came with lowering springs and shocks (not installed). The problem is that I don't know which springs go where (I have an idea, but want to be sure) can someone please help?

This may be going against the trend, but I want to make fuel efficient mods. Besides cold air, what else could I do?

You want fuel efficient?
Loose any unnecessary weight.
Coast more then brake or accelerate
Avoid using A/c or heat when it can be avoided

shorter springs in the back, bigger springs in the front to support the weight of the engine i think. And best bang for your buck is a turbocharger.

Thank you both for your replies. I already drive in a fuel efficient manner though (I actually try and time traffic lights so that I almost never have to stop the car). FlipHKD720,thanks for the suspension tip, that is what I figured, but I needed a second opinion.
