Default Found a replacement trans locally.. not sure if it will work

so i have a 95 EX sedan w/ an auto transmission w/ the code s24a on it. locally i found a guy selling a rebuilt auto trans from a 95 dx or lx w/ the code a24a on it. are these compatible? im having transmission issues and this is a fresh rebuilt one for a good price, so if it will work i'll jump on it. anybody have any idea what the difference is or if its compatible?

thanks

A D series trans will work just fine. The gearing is just a little different.......the DX was built for fuel economy, nothing more nothing less. So basically, the tranny will most likely have "longer" gears.
