exhaust
#11
brand new cat/manifold, and a new speed sensor. the white smoke cut down dramasticly but its still comming out, expecially when its cold and i take off fast (going onto the highway). now im getting a new code, rpm sensor or crank or something, i forget what it said, ill have to re-pull it. but that was never on there before. i cant keep dumping 600 bucks a week into the car, is there any thing i can do to stop the smoke? its not as bad, but i just want it to stop so ill feel better lol. any options besides putting a brick on the gas petal and sinkin it in the monongahela river?

White smoke in the summer time is coolant going into the exhaust somehow, no two ways around it. If it's not the head gasket (head gasket denial runs deep) it could be some of the other stuff on the intake manifold (IACV, FITV, etc). You can isolate some of it by re-routing the small hoses. There's also the coolant passage into the manifold next to the intake for cylinder #4. If there's a leak there I'd expect the #4 spark plug to look different from the other ones. Letting it smoke for a while then cut off abruptly and inspect all the spark plugs could tell you something.
