Evap error = bad mileage???

My mechanic said he did not have the equipment to this test and suggested I visit the dealer if I wanted it done.

The fuel tank pressure sender is how the ECU tests the tank & EVAP canister to see whether they're airtight. So it's kinda related.

Perhaps he cleared the original code, then caused that new code by pressurizing the tank or ???? If something like that is possible, then I'd reset the ECU so no old codes are left over. Wait for something to re-code &read the code again.
