RE: Engine No-start after replacement.
did you use your old dizzy??? if you used one from a diffrent motor use your old on.the new one might have a bad pick up or a bad coil in side it. Also did you check that little ground i told you about that attaches to the thermostat housing, if your not sure were this is follow the lower radiator house to the back of the head, there should be a little cluster of ground together with a little ring terminal, and a little 10 mm bolts holds it to the houseing.

No I used all the orig accessories, and wire harness. The only thing swapped was the "core engine" including cylinder head. I'll double check this ground point. Do you think thiswould cause the car not to run? I have no fuel pressure, as the pump will not go through its startup test. and I have no spark.

I just spoke with my uncle who is a Service manager at a lexus dealer. He told me to check the Crank sensor, Because it sends the signal from the #1 cylinder at TDC to energize the computer. Also, He told me to check the Oil pressure sender. But I think my fuel system would still at least power up.

if that little ground isnt hooked up the car will not sart. there a few grounds put all together. im not sure what the 3 or5 grounds go to because the in the harness, but i spent 2 days before trying to figure out why my swap didnt start. so now thats the first thing i check..
Its not a body ground, there grounds for like dizzys and stuff like that.

Excellent. I will look at it first thing next week when I return home...... I'll post with the findings!
Thanks for all the help!
By the way, Is there a main relay on this car? I was unable to find one. Or a fuse for the computer?

RE: Engine No-start after replacement.
Well, I double checked, And The ground on the thermostat housing was hooked up, But it was very loose. I cleaned up the connections and gave it a try. The first thing I noticed when I turned the key was the fuel pump kicking on, then I cranked if for about 2 minutes (with small breaks for the starter) and it fired right up.
Now my only problem in the idle. It runs well, but when i come to a stop the idle surges. then it levels off..... May be a vaccum leak....?
