Finally got around to throughly checking out the Power Steering leak. Doesn't seem to be coming from any type of hose and I turned the wheel REALLY hard both ways while my cousin checked for leaks (no hoses leaked), in fact....NO signs of leaking. Located Honda PS Fluid also but now it seems sorta harder than before to turn my steering wheel and there's a slight noise when i turn the wheel like the resevoir's empty but I know it isn't. The only thing I can say is the power steering pump itself is leaking from the bottom or something like it's losing pressure. Does that mean it's on the way out or something? Someone PLEASE help me.

The rack noise and hard steering might be caused by a loose or slipping power steering belt, possibly resulting from contamination of the belt and pulleys with power steering fluid; however, belt slippage is only one problem, as you also mention leakage from the pump. Therefore, fixing the leaky pump should be your first order of business. Maybe you can get an inexpensive used pump from a local salvage yard.

So it would just be best to replace the pump, is that correct RonJ? I'm supposed to be taking it to the mechanic today for verification of the problem and I would like your and anyone elses opinion to avoid being "jipped". Thanks.

Yes, if the pump itself is leaking rather than the hoses or hose connections, then I would recommend replacing or rebuilding the pump.

Got it checked out yesterday, there's a really good sized hole down at the bottom under the pulleys (I THINK it's on the engine), there seems to have been silicone on it but I was told that adding any more could cause more damage so weird enough the guy stuck some sorta steel pipe in to seal the hole (rather funny if you see it). I probably need to get some pics....also, the PS fluid spouting about is said to be the power steering rack which a replacement SHOULD be arriving today. I'm leaning toward selling the car now though....losing way too much sleep (and $$). Of course, I've been leaning toward that since last year lol.
