Default Engine help

I'm really anxious to get my engine swap, either a b18c5 or b16a, but I'm only 16 and I'm lookin for a job.
Parents can help me out but not with 4000 bucks.
So what's my best bet? Look on craigslist/ebay for a block and just build it up myself and just get everything separate and put it together? Or save up the 4-5k...?
Any suggestions and opinions are appreciated.
Thanks guys

I would like to boost it in the long run, but since that bumps the price up so much, I guess for now just N/A
