engine has deadspot between 1000 & 2200 rpm
hi there can anybody help.I have a 1995 civic LSI 1493cc (not Vtec).the car always starts on the button hot or cold,but when it warms up a dead spot happens between 1000 & 2200 rpm when i give it gas.Makes for a very jumpy ride lol any ideas to whats wrong??Davy

One area might be your TP (throttle position) sensor. Sometimes these sensors can have a dead spot and your explanation appears to me like this could be something you might want to check. If you test the voltage, it should be a steady increase in voltage as you press the accelerator or turn the throttle. If there is a dead spot, it will all of a sudden go down to 0 volts and then jump back up. It's worth testing. hope this helps.

You also might want to check whether the ignition timing is set to spec.
Have you inspected the plugs, distributor cap, and rotor?
When was the air filter last replaced?
