engine cuts out at low rpm

engine cuts out at low rpm
I drive a 2000 dx with a 5 speed and recently when I have the car in 4th or 5th with the revs low (not too low, I don't have a tach so I can't tell you exactly) the engine cuts power out randomly. It feels as though the car is being push started, this usually happens at 40-45 mph in fourth gear. The car has 99k on it right now so I don't think it could be the timing, I might be leaning towards fuel pump or fuel filter but before I take any action I figured I would ask around. The check engine light lit up yesterday so I'm beginning to worry that my little green civic may be sick.
Thanks!

RE: engine cuts out at low rpm
I would recommend to start by retrieving the Check Engine Light (CEL) code(s), which might tell you something about the problem you are having.
AutoZone will retrieve the CEL code free of charge. Although you might get less detailed information, you can also retrieve the code yourself as described here:

Post the code(s) in this thread to receive more feedback.

RE: engine cuts out at low rpm
Hey thanks, I jumped the ECU and found out there is a problem with the throttle position sensor. I guess Honda does not sell the sensor by itself? Is there anywhere I can buy just the sensor?
