just have a pro do it ....i think it dont be more than 100 bucks ......my mecanic charged me 35 buck for valve adjustment on my vw sqaureback. i know its a totally diffrent car but just to let you know

It should be only about 1/2 hour labor. Obviously if you're going to pay someone to do it, it should be something that they know how to do well.

If you know enough to try it out on your own here's a link to detailed instructions with pictures that I found online...

I have a very in depth mechanical knowledge of the car and I would probably take it to my local honda deaslership, rather than do this myself... Mine needs it done now too, but I keep putting it off... I just don't feel like messign with that myself, I could do it, just wouldn't do it...

Edit: that's only good for the D series... you did not mention what year/model your car is or what engine you have

is everyone else thinkin about 100 bucks? i can live with that. its my weekday car so i gota keep it reliable.. i dont wana rack the miles up on my s2k... is it going to completely F*** up my engine if I dont get this done right away?

You can wait a while. When it starts to rattle so it sounds like a diesel engine even after it's warmed up, I'd start to worry about shaking things apart.

That is if the noise is from the valves to begin with. I suggested adjusting them as the first step to rule it out.
