Exclamation Electronic lock/unlock/trunk-opener key isn't working

I have a 2006 honda coupe EX SI, I believe, and whenever I press the buttons on my key to unlock my car it doesn't work. Even the lock and trunk buttons do not work. When I press the trunk button on my keys to open my trunk, i can hear the trunk actually opens, but doesn't pop up. Whenever I press the unlock/lock/trunk buttons on the key the little light near the lock button lights up.

I hope you guys understand my problem.

P.S. it was working yesterday when I drove back home, but the following morning it doesn't work.

I don't know how your fob is setup but in our 6th gen 96-00, the fob's battery gets a bit dislodged occasionally and it will reset the alarm as if you have just changed the alarm battery. This then requires me to hit the button six consecutives times and it will re-establish connection with the keyless system. maybe that is happening to you.

the solution is to put a very thin piece of plastic or some paper to push the battery down on the springs to get a solid connection. I don't know if this will solve your issue however.
