So I drive a 98 civic dx, so as most of you know, there is no tach, but I am hopefully going to do a cluster swap soon after I change my timing belt. The problem is I have to base my pedal modulation off of sound and feel, but my music is usually on so hearing the engine is tuff and I have an effing sticky gas pedal![>:] so I usually end up revving too high, or not giving it enough gas, so i sound like I cant drive a stick... does anyone know how i can change this? Any help that would ease my frustration would be amazing...

 

Mine used to feel gritty & stick in the moring. I hada loada gritin thegrease on the throttle cable, try cleaning that up & oiling up the throttle rotor. Worked for me.

If it's sticking only at the fully closed position, that's probably dirt in the throttle body causing the edge of the throttle plate to stick to the bore.
