Dumb question, trying to remove air filter box/housing
I have a 2000 civic ex and my SRI came in today. I've never done anything to my car, or worked on any car, other than simple stuff like changing out the battery, checking fluids lol.
Anyway, there's two bolts behind the passenger headlight near the air box. One looks like it goes to some little bracket or mount(screw on left), the other looks like it's mounting the airbox(screw on right) to part of the car/chassis.
Now the screw that looks like it belongs to the airbox, it looks like a round tipped cone. Basically there's no way to screw it off.
Am I looking at the right part to remove it? Yes I'm a noob, but slowly I will learn.

well funny thing is heres your answer... RIP IT OFF. LOL
that part that has the two top nipple looking stuff its just pushed down onto the piece its held preatty tight from the rubber grommet between it.....
and the pipes that comes up from the bottom are bolted from behind the bumper.
i can take some pictuers of my stock air box off my car tomorow night if ya still need help. just look for all the bolts/screws that you can find and remove them. and then try to just RIP the intake box straight up......
