Default Dumb newbie question

I bought my daughter a 9 civic last month. I took it out for a drive this evening to make sure everything was still working. I noticed a small football shaped red light in the tachometer compartment. It had the letters SRS.I don't remember if that light was there last time a drove it a couple of weeks ago. Can someone please tell me what the light is for, I don't have an owners manual. Thanks in advance.

Ooops, that's a 1997 civic. By the way, thanks everybody, for solving the water leak mystery.

I found the answer, dual air bag indicator. Just glad it isn't something to worry about.

lol what do you mean thats nothing to worry about? It means that the airbags aren't working right. Either they will not deploy in a crash or they will deploy when they are not supost to. I think that is something to worry about.
