I haven't done anything yet. I'm going to check the tire pressure, and then I was going to look into getting the fuel filter changed, but I don't know how to do that so I was seeing if anyone knows where a manual is online that tells how?
My other thought was getting the fuel injectors cleaned, but I don't know if that would even be a reason for getting lower MPG. I won't be driving on the highway at all until I drive back to school in January. (I'm a student home for a few weeks for Christmas.) So I won't know if it fixes it until then. Thanks for all the people who gave some suggestions.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to put in a new gas filter. just take off the gas cap. Leave it open and just take off the bolts from the fuel filter pop in the new one in and tight down the bolts again. Next open the key until the dash lights come on leave it on for about 5 seconds .shut it off and do it again this will pump the fuel up again check for leaks and then turned it on.Hope this helps

If you disconnect the negative cable on the (I don't do it)battery there is no chance of spark !
Let the car sit awhile after running, remove the gas cap to relieve any pressure.
I had to open the filter holder/bracket and pull the filter and lines out a bit to get a good grip for wrenching.
Be sure to use new washers.
Make sure all the threads are clean etc when you reassemble.
Open end wrenches worked for me.
Get a Helms manual

Start tuning it up. The plugs are new, but maybe you could use some new plug wires, new cap and rotor, seafoam will clean up the carbon buildup on the insides......and the injectors too......Fuel filter wont hurt, new air filter, just start swapping the wear and tear stuff out and you will be fine.

how about some simple stuff do not fill the car to the top dont take any passengers unless they pay. inflate the tyres a little but dont go to the max for those tyres remove spare wheel and jack. replace with a foot pump and some tyre sealing stuff the stuff over here is called tyre weld it pumps the tyre and puts a film inside which istemporary seal (they say its tempory but ive driven 5k with it in and 5 nails). keep the car clean (less drag) try not to use the air con so much (if fitted) no harsh driving. this should increase your mpg and should be cheaper than additives also dont drive with the windows open if possible
