Have you checked out the window regulator? There is a pivot point on there, that has a tendency to come loose. Unfortuanately, you can't just replace that, but rather the whole assembly (minus the motor). Your best bet is to pull the door panel, get the window to the height at which is gets silly, and observe. Just watch and try to see what exactly is happening.

If you need a rundown on how to replace the regulator, I have a 50% done DIY that I will wrap up and set to you .

After a more detailed look at it, it seems that as soon as it starts going up, it will "pop" on the lower rear of the glass and start going astray. any more help? will let you know Forty04, i think so My04civic?!?!

that "pop" sounds like what happened to my window. Reach in there, grab the bottom rail of the regulator, and see if you can shake it. If it moves, you'll need a new one

im thinken about replacing mine before i get my window retinted
my drivers window came off track the other day and has been going up preaty slow...

i just put the window back on track and oiled the tracks ALOT so hopefully it will slide freely and not grab....

i just used some ford mini vent window lube.... i just had it laying around from my old towncar i had

Sorry guys, with blowing my motor recently I'm a bit strapped for time. Here is a picture of my regulator out of the car. I've highlighted the piece that was busted on mine. It was still holding everythign together, but it had "play" in it when I'd shake it. The play was bad enough to where the teeth on the regulator's gear was losing contact with the teeth on the motor's gear.

Shoot me a pm if you need the pics for taking off the door panel, removing the regulator, etc..
