Default driver's side window

I bought my lil civic... did the whole test round(cept for the stereo) and just wrote the loud road noise off as just age/barebonliness of the car(manual everything, cept stearing, and i hope airbags, otherwise that could be an occward accident if i ever get in one) everything works great.... cept for the speakers and window(now i've found out) fixed the speakers, ended up who ever it was that owned it before me(two owners methinks) upgraded the speakers, but had the cables attached with electrical tape and good will... so quick trip down to can tire, buy some wire, and wire ends to attach to speakers, and voila werks.

issue 1 fixed! yays, onwards to window...

upon further inspection i've found that the driver's side got damaged, but repainted... construction workers strached it and they paid to fix it, so either as part of the accident, or in the process of repainting it, now the window doesn't sit flush with the weather sealing... i've talked to my resident gear head at work and he says ohh just adjust some screws on the window track... then promptly went on vacation for 4 weeks(but i'm told its a renovate house/rebuilt '78 camaro vacation) anyway i looked through my Haynes manual and its as clear as mud as to how to fix this... it just talks about removal/instalation of window.

btw its a 97 CX hatchback(which was a huge relief to find out how easy it was to gain access to the rear speakers after getting scared from google) I'm not affraid to take it appart, just as long as it doesn't require more than a 6-12 pack per day...

if ya need further information lemme know, and i'll be looking back in daily, but infrequently

and Thanks in advance for any help

ohh and if anyone feels its in the wrong board then just chalk that up to being a noob to the forums here, but i felt this is the best for it, cause i'm wanting to lessen the road noise, and i think i've isolated only the window, but i'm at a miss for hows to fix the road noise(appart from the window course)

More than likely that the window glass is off the tracks. You have to remove the door panel to gain access to the window tracks. I usually rollup the window loosen the front track and slowly roll down the window. Align the track(s) around the window tighten screws and spray some silicone lubricant on both tracks. Test it out before you put back the door panel.

On my 97 2 door, I have to remove the screws at front speakers(snap off the grill cover), one screw at the door latch, and a screw at the door handle. Since you have manual windows, you have to remove the window crank. Pull the bottom door panel straight out, you will hear a bunch snaps. After you pull off the fasteners, the door panel should come off. The hardest part is to line up the door panel along top when you have to put it back on.
