My daughter has a 1997 Honda Civic EX coupe and she is having problems locking her passenger door.

With the door close she is able to manually lock and unlock the door.

With the aftermarket alarm/keyless remote or the driver’s side switch I can lock or unlock the driver’s side door but not the passenger’s door.

I believe that the passenger’s door actuator may be faulty and it needs to be replaced. I looked at the service manual and I can’t find a part number for it.

Does anyone have a part number for this actuator? Also, does anyone have instructions in how to replace it? The service manual doesn’t have any instructions either.

Look down the list for:
ACTUATOR ASSY., R. FR. DOOR LOCK
or
ACTUATOR ASSY., L. FR. DOOR LOCK

I'm not too sure if they mean the left front/right front standing outside the car or while in the car.
