Do you know your brake code?
When my immobiliser was activated by the dead battery, the closest service manager gave me the brake code which was supposed to enable me to drive it to the dealer. Unfortunately, I think he was confused on how to enter the code and it did not work. According to: http://www.hondalac.com/service/Bulletins/x01-053e.pdf
service bulletin, you enter the code with the hand brake, not the foot brake as I was instructed.
When I asked my dealer's service manager for the brake code, he refused claiming that it would work with any Civic. Once again, the service bulletin says that the code is VIN specific.
My buddy has a Pilot and was able to get his code, either from the dealer or Honda. You might want to get your code, to avoid being stranded by inadvertant immobiliser activation.
