Default dizzy fireing order

ok, i know this is a stupid question, but it has me boggled.

attached is a pic of my dizzy and sparkplug wires. the wire coming in from the left most side is cyl 1

so in essence cyl 1 wire is connected at the 9 o'clock spot on the dizzy.

but in my haynes book, it shows number 1 cyl connected to the 6 o'clock position

i looked arround online, and i couldn't really see the wires on some cars, is my current setup right or is the book right? if the book is right wouldnt my car not run, because its runs ok right now. if i did rotate the wires and it was wrong, would it damage my car?

If it runs, you are OK. Relax and enjoy. If you mix two wires on 4 cyl engine, it does not run at all...

Cylinder #1 - 9 o'clock
#2 - 6 o'clock
#4 - 3
#3 - 12

As far as I can see in the pic, you have it correct.

it would be missing like a **** if you had just one wire wrong... so if it is running fine, then you're gravy

i didnt think it was wrong, and i wasnt thinking of one wire being switched, but all of them shifed 90 degrees, cause the book shows cyl 1 at 6, but it must be wrong
