Default dash board

how much of the dash do you have to take apart to change a speedo cable?? I dont want to pull apart alot of stuff i dont have to. Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

what gen civic do you have
this is for a 96-00 i believe-
right above the gauges on the bezel part there should be two screws. unscrew those and pull real hard and it will pull right out. then there will be four screws holding the gauge cluster in. undo those and you can pull those out. and there will be 4 wire clips in the back. i have no idea if this will help you but thats how you take the instrument cluster out. it only take about 5 mins

I have a '91 dx, thats pretty much the info i needed. I dont think it will be much different on mine. Thanks for the info, I think i'll be able to figure it out pretty easy.
