Default Cranks but wont start in rain/snow

Hey guys, this is my first time to the site (I read a few of the previous threads on this topic but I just wanted to get my story out there). I have a 2000 LX, recently when it rains or snows and my car sits for an hour or so during it, it will crank but refuses to start. The only difference in my problem from others on here is when I would crank it the battery would obviously drain, but I plugged a trickle charger in to give the battery some juice. After letting it charge for about 2 hours it usually fires right up like nothing is wrong! I was reading about the coil and igniter threads and that sounds close to my issue, but I don't know a ton about cars. Any ideas??

If there really is a connection with damp weather and not just coincidence, it's because the high voltage parts of the ignition system have lost insulating properties and short out when wet. You can test that by starting the car (dry) then mist water over the distributor and spark wires with a spray bottle to see if that makes it misfire or stall.
