Default Cost to replace blown head gasket

I have a 1995 civic Lx and i just found out that one of the headgaskets is blown. How much will this end up costing me at the mechanics? my car has close to 200k miles on it and has all sorts of problems besides the headgasket so is the repair even worth the money?

The answer depends on the cost of a replacement car and the nature of the other necessary repairs. In other words, would the cost of the head gasket + other repairs be much less than the cost of purchasing another vehicle? Start by calling local reputable mechanics to get an estimate on all needed repairs.

The complete gasket set will range between $80-200. If you need new bolts thats another $100. The cost of a mechanic will be much more. In good running condition I sold my 1995 Civic LX with 203k miles on it for $3000. I bought a 1999 Civic EX with 157k miles on it for $4000.
