Default Cost for clutch kit/labor

06 Civic Coupe (2 Door, EX) needs a new clutch.

The guy is quoting me 500+ for parts, ~560 for labor... Says around 1100-1200 total (including tax).

The car doesn't move and it's sitting at his shop (tow place had a deal with them, I didn't have many options at 4am...)

Just wanting to check and make sure that was a legit price. Mechanic is in Thousand Oaks, CA if that makes a difference.

$500+ for just the clutch kit parts is a ripoff... better be genuine OEM Honda or some other really nice brand for that cost.
