Default Consumption for D16Y8

Team

I attemp to ask for an info about consumption for my engine D16Y8
I have a Civic 1998 , i had the engine D16y7 then i swap it to this engine D16Y8

I felt this consumption increasing , the car consumed today at least 10%/11%

Do you have any clue about this issue ?i d like to add that i have also the engine

error light therefore i tried to switch it off but without success

Recently i changed the spark but the model that i get is for D16Y7 , the

manufacturer ensure me that it will work without any problem , i m wondering

if it's the source of this high consumption

Please message me back with suggestions , really feel lost with my red civic

I just double checked, and what the Manufacturer told you is true. The D16y7 and D16y8 use the same plugs and wires. Did you GAP the plugs to spec before putting them in the motor?

you have a check engine light on, when you did the swap did you change the ecu and put the vtec ecu in?

pull the check engine light codes, post results
