Default Constant Break Bleeding Problem????

Hey everyone,

I haven't read of anyone having this problem so i decided to post. I have an 07 Blue Civic EX that has been hit. I bought it from an auction and everything is in place. The left front side was hit moderately. All this is now replaced.

A few days ago I noticed the brakes were weak so I decide to bleed them. I go for a spin and after about braking 10 times the Civic starts to slow down. Almost to a complete stop, for some reason pressure builds up and causes the brakes to kick in. This forces me to stop the vehicle and bleed the breaks then all works fine again until 10 stops again.

Now from the years of experience that I have I believe this is the Master Cylinder that has to be replaced/fixed.

Can anyone confirm of this?

Thank You for your time,
Pete

If only one wheel is dragging there may be an obstruction in the hose to that caliper. Also it is possible that the master cylinder/booster is misadjusted. If the brake pedal doesn't come all the way up where it should, the brakes will eventually drag. Finally it could be a problem with the ABS. For that you will need a shop manual.

Thanks for the reply, it is all 4 wheels braking. I have heard it can be ABS as well, I will check both and post back.

Thank You
