Default Cleaning EACV

Hi All,
I was encouraged to clean the EACV on my '91 hatchback as a t/s step, and I haven't been able to find info on how to do that. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Chris

Default RE: Cleaning EACV

FWIW, this article shows the EACV being completely removed for cleaning. My car is old ('91) and I didn't want to risk breaking a hose or connector so I removed the bolts and leaned it back against the firewall. I sprayed carb cleaner on the screen and then used Q-tips to clean the gunk off.

Hope that helps someone.
