Default civic stero move???

im looking to move my stereo down where the cup holder is, i have a 98 civic ex coupe. i was wondering if the entire stereo/heat ac control unit from a 99 civic will fit into my car so i can use the bigger cd player opening for a dvd player. this is the url to a page that shows what i want to do but my stereo/heat ac control id different, will this kind fit.

its a good idea and all, but the a/c plugs on the 96-98 don't fit on a 99-00 control unit. plus the hot/cold adjustment on the 96-98 is cable driven that opens and shuts a valve. the 99-00 uses a electrical switch and electrical motor to open and shut the valve. so if you expect to do this switch, theres gonna be some extensive wiring to be able to keep your a/c, and also if i am correct, you will have to switch out ssome of the a/c itself to accomdate for the cable to electrial switch.

so like i said good idea, but its gonna be way more work than you think if youwant to keep your a/c. you might be better off getting a 99-00 civic if you want the double din sized radio opening.
