My 1994 civic ex's spindle and nut are stripped. How difficult is it to change the spindle out?

 

Front or rear wheel? If it's the front just trade in the CV axle for a rebuilt one, it should come with a new nut.

Also if someone has been driving with the nut loose, the bearing may be messed up. After you have the axle out, turn the hub and make sure it turns quietly and doesn't wobble. The bearing has to be pressed in and out so if you don't have a press, you'd need to take it to a shop to do it.
