Civic EX 2008 keeps honking and won't move
I have a 2008 Civic EX. And I have two problems on the car, this is the story:
One morning the battery was discharged. So I try to jump start it in the
correct order. When I connected the last clip, it suddenly honks continuously.
So I remove the fuse for the horn&stop (they were on one fuse) and it jump
started successfully.
When I try to re-plug the fuse again, it still honks continously even though
nothing pressed the button so I plug it off again.
The second problem is, I cannot change my transmission at all. No matter how
deep I hit the brake it doesn't let me change the transmission from P.
The only local Honda dealer doesn't offer remote service and I really don't
want to pay for towing.
Do we need to do anything else after we jumpstart a 2008 Civic? Maybe for
relieving some security precaution installed?
Thank you,
Ronny

Since your car is only a year old, the towing charges can be covered under warranty. I had two different Honda cars under warranty that required towing because of mechanical failures. Both times they paid the towing charges.

my guess is that you need to reset your security system since it thinks that it is being stolen. check your owner's manual for more details. According to p. 207 in the owner's manual, it says that you need to unlock the car with your remote transmitter or with your key to stop the honking, etc. it says it lasts for 2 mins. so you need to unlock the car with the key or keyless entry remote in that time.

Fixed :)
Thanks guys, now it is fixed.
It seems that the fuse that Ive been using has a problem.
It continuously assert the horn. Since it is stop&horn fuse, I practically
cannot hit the "electric brake" that allow me to change the transmission.
The mechanical brake it self is fine.
Now Ive replaced the fuse with a spare one and it works properly fine.
