Civic dies at red lights/in traffic
My gf has a 96 civic and it has randomly been dieing when she gets stopped in traffic or at a red light. She is just about to shift it back into gear when it dies. She said it feels like the car is stalling but she isn't in gear so she knows it isn't. But she is pressing on the break and clutch about to shift when it just shuts off. It starts right back up for now so I want to fix this issue before it decides to stop starting on her and leaves her stranded. I thought maybe the fuel filter or something but I'm not a Honda guy. I used to have a Jeep but switched to Toyota. So any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Still dies. I'm going to check the distributor and such today when she gets off work. I don't know what else to check. The check engine light is on if that makes a difference. I don't know.
