oh, i dont know enough about distributors to know exactly where to check the ohms. The distributor will only slide on 1 way onto the cam, right?

oh and it dying slowly really isnt representative of a timing belt, so i dont know. The mechanic said the crank gear does not move when they try to start it.

i dont know about that....... cause if the timing belt snaps thiers a HIGH % that it messed up the valves! at least thats what ive always heard...

and as to it just lossing power... a timing belt snaping doesnt just loose power IT WILL MOST LIKELY MAKE A LOUD SOUND and will KILL the motor ASAP! thiers no way it would just be loosing power and then die...

yea ^^ that why when you buy a used car always make sure it has new timing belts other wise for that same reason. you even said yourself it was electrical so stick with that, the erason why they said timing belt is beacause there trying to make a profit

ya id tell them HOLD ON........... YOU WANNA SEE THE BUSTED BELT ON THE CAR STILL!!!!!
and if it looks cut I WOULD CAUSE HELL UP IN THIER!!!!!!!!
cause if it was the timing belt and it messed your head up its gonna be ALOT more money that than to fix properly!!!!!

does remind me tho... i need to change my belt.LOL ive had it for afew months now... im just to lazy to do the work cause my back up truck doesnt have AC due to it kept sliping the belt and it ATE off the clutches activation wires so no more AC

yeah i think it is. But everytime I would try to start it, the notches on the end of the cam shaft would always be in the same spot. So it is possible the timing belt is broke. and they said the cam gear is not moving, not crank.. that was my bad.
