Default civic and crx

hey all so i was driving my friends 91 crx, (the same one with the door garnish problem.) now we have the same engine. the d16a6. he has an aem short ram intake and exuast but im not sure what kind. neither is he. but his car seems sluggish when i drive it. when in 2nd gear going about 30 mph and i put the pedal to the floor in my car the car will accelerate a pretty fair amount. however when in his car if you do it the car sound just gets low sounding and it feels like its losing power and barely accelerates. how is he losing power? now i know that we are dealing with hondas and not ferraris. also right when you get ready to start going again it feels like it wants to stall. both of our cars are manuals too

because your cars are 16 years old and have any number of potentail problems with the motor... there is no way for us to diagnose that online [8D]

I don't think it's the intake that is making his car slow
