Default Civic 7 gen Ctr noise engine braking

So the noise I’ve been hearing. It’s when you are doing engine braking mainly, or if you are coasting along doing 30 in 3rd. Each time you let the momentum of the car turn the engine the noise get audible. It sounds a bit like a grinding noise, possibly bearings. If you just gently touch the accelerator it almost disappears..I heard that it is possible that the bearings are making noise(Input shaft bearings)if someone had a similar problem?Car is Civic Type R Ep3 2004 95.000km..6 speed..

Do you hear noise with the engine idling in neutral, that goes away when you press the clutch in? That's typically what bad input shaft bearings do.

Should have also mentioned to check that the transmission is properly filled with Honda MTF.

If you hear any noise at all from the transmission idling in neutral, it has a bad bearing. I don't know about the 6 speed, but 5 speeds are real easy to crack open and change bearings without rebuilding all the synchros, etc.
