Default Check engine light and code

Hi,

I have a used (certified) 2001 honda civic LX which I bought from a dealer and have had no problems till now. Recently, the check engine light has come on a few times especially when it has been hot and I have the AC on in stop and go traffic. The car stalls, and I have to turn it off for a sometime before it turns back on with the check engine light coming on too. If I wait overnight the light goes off. I took it to PepBoys (closest repair shop at the time I was stuck) and he gave me a code P1361 by hooking a computer onto it but did not know what that was since he said it was a DEALER CODE. Has anyone had the same issue or has some suggestions...it would greatly help. Each time I call the dealer he gives me an appointment few days later and the light is gone by then.

Thanks for the help!

P1361 - Top Dead Sensor intermittent interruption.

Probable Cause - TDC Sensor

Sounds like you should replace your sensor.......

Thanks for the information. Does this have to be replaced only by the dealer or can anyone do this?
