Hello,
Forgive me if what i am going to say is confusing but i am trying my best to describe my situation.

I own a 2000 Honda civic Si and i have only had it for about 6 months. I bought it off my cousin and he is helpless and hasnt experienced this issue.
Basically my problem is, and this happens sparatically and at the most inconvenient times, I turn my key to start the engine all the way to turn the car over, and the doors lock and the dash lights come on and i don't get any noises. someone said they thought they heard a little hum of a starter but no engine noise at all. now i am pretty positive it is not battery related because it has happened a few times now and then started fine later on.
Now i have noticed that the few times this has happened, majority of the time for some reason i had left the car ignition turned to accessory in order to play the radio or use the windows while working on the door panel due to the fact my driver side door is having a lock issue.

Anyway can anyone help me with this issue, ask me questions if needed. I feel like it may be like some sort of security measure, however i have no aftermarket security, only what is stock. I just need to know how to fix this or avoid it.

Ok..when you turn the key to start the car..does it crank or not crank at all?
Have you checked the battery terminals to make sure they're clean?
