Default Car Immobiliser

Hey guys!

currently, i own a honda civic 98 hatch with an immobiliser system. Unfortunately, last week i lost a pair of my car keys. Currently, i am using my spare key. I rang sum places up, to try and get a replacement key. The trouble is that when i bought my car, i was not given the learner key. The Honda dealer quoted me a price of $800AUD for a whole new immobiliser kit!!! i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to avoid getting a whole new immobiliser kit. Afterall, all i really need is a new learner key and normal driving key. If anyone has been in my situation b4, i would luv to hear about how u dealt with it!

Many thanks,

Mr. Rocafella
