A/C Question
hello everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful memorial day weekend with your families and friends.
I have a question concerning my A/C
Car Specs:
Honda Civic 98 EX Coupe
D15B engine
EVERYTHING else is Y8 stuff (long story)
I happened to notice that my air filter popped off the short ram so i went to re-attach it when i noticed that one of the A/C steel tubes running under the air filter was carved into. and i mean it was so carved into it had a whole about 1/8th of an inch long (not too wide tho) it looked like someone got a chisel and carved it. I figure that's whats causing all the problems with my A/C not working right (major leak). My question is has anybody encountered this before? And if so how did they go about replacing it? I appreciate the help anyone can throw at me.

RE: A/C Question
Im about to do this and you just need to replace that particular a/c line by unscrewing both ends. Its easy and cheap to buy one off here cause everyone is getting rid of there a/c to make room for a turbo. Should cost you just 10 dollars at most. After screwing in the new one then recharge the a/c system and your back under way. Depending on how long the a/c system has been down you might also need to replace the reciever dryer as well but thats only like 20 dollars new. Im having to do this because my system has been down for about 8 years. Good luck.
