Brown spark plug wire
one of my spark plug wires which is in cylinder 4 is brown and im getting a engine misfire code but its a random misfire so im not sure if it has to do with this exactly. The car does bog of the line or sometimes on the highway but whats making it misfire? Ive already done a basic tune up, so whats next?
Civic 2000 ex D16Y8 engine.

Replace the wires and see what you have. Most times, bad wires don't even look bad. Here you have one that is obviously bad, so replace it. I would stay with OEM wires because the quality of aftermarket wires is often very poor (though they look great).

When you said that you already performed a basic tune up, did this include a new set of spark plug wires? If not then I'm laying my hard-swindled money on your spark plug wires as being the cause of your engine's misfires. I'd recommend sticking with the OEM wires for replacement. As previously mentioned, they are the most consistently high-quality replacement wires available.
There's actually three OEM wire sets available: Sumitomo (32722-P2A-003), Nichiwa kiki (32722-P2A-J01) and
Prestolite (32722-P2F-A03). Since they're all factory wires you really can't go wrong with any of them. Personally though, I would go with the Sumitomos. I concede that the only reason that I'd elect them over the the other choices is because it's the only brand that I've heard of
