BRAKE HELP!!!
I just bought a civic cx with BAD Brakes!!! I replaced the rear brakes/wheel cylinders, also the front brakes! When I got the car there was no fluid in the system.
Ifilledit with brake fluidand bled the system, but still the brakes dont engage. After checking the system their sound like air is passing through and not holding in the Brake Booster!
Is my brake booster bad, or is their something else?

RE: BRAKE HELP!!!
Yes bleed again. Your booster seems to be working OK as it is helping increase the force to the brakes when the car is running, but even with proper force the pedal just goes to the floor since something else is wrong.
If you're sure it's fully bled and the pedal still goes to the floor without stopping the car, probably need the master cylinder.
Does it appear that the brake system was contaminated with oil or a substance other than brake fluid?

RE: BRAKE HELP!!!
I blew out the brake booster in my CRX. Once it went, the pedal was very stiff, and the car stopped very very slowly. When I stepped on the pedal, I could hear air whooshing under the dash, and the idle jumped all over the place (because of the vacuum leak). If that sounds like your car, you may have the same problem.

RE: BRAKE HELP!!!
mxs is right about a blown booster, had that happen to me too. The car will still stop but you have to press very hard on the pedal. And the engine will idle poorly or even stall when stepping on the brakes.
