blower motor problem
I posted here at the started of the year in regards to a problem i'm having with my blower motor and it not working on my Civic 02.
I'd found the service manual and diagnosed via the lights that the fault is in the blower motor circuit. I'd done as the service manual suggested and applied a voltage to the blower and it nearly jumped out of my hands.
Summer came and i gave up but now with frosts returning I'm kinda screwed getting the screen cleared.
The problem get's slightly weirder in that occasionally (very) if i randomly switch the blower on it does actually come on. Now that to me suggests more of a mechanical /wiring issue? Does that conclusion seem obvious?
any pointers? thoughts?
many thanks,
john.

Check that you have 12 volts at the motor wires (measured to ground) with the key on. If not, check the fuse; I think it is under the hood. If you do have power to the motor and since you know it is good, that leaves the power transistor unit as the most likely bad part.
